Jindalee Suburb Profile

Jindalee sits in Brisbane's south-west on the Brisbane River, one of the Centenary Suburbs, a pocket known for its greenery, established neighbourhoods and easy access to the CBD. Traditionally, this area forms part of the lands of the Jagera (Yuggera) people, whose country spans across Brisbane's south-west, Ipswich and the Lockyer Valley. About 15 km by road from the city, Jindalee combines riverside living with major shopping and services. It's a neighbourhood of leafy streets and established family homes west of the Centenary Motorway, with a newer townhouse estate near the river. The suburb attracts a mix of families, professionals and long-term locals who appreciate its schools, sport and convenience. Jindalee State School and Centenary State High School are both in the suburb, and Jindalee Golf Club, Jindalee Pool and a riverside park with a boat ramp give plenty of room for recreation. Shopping is well covered at DFO Jindalee and HomeCo. Jindalee, on either side of Sinnamon Road. The Centenary Motorway crosses the river here on the Centenary Bridge, and Translink buses 453 and 456 run to the city, with routes 467 and 468 linking to Oxley train station. Residents enjoy an active, well-serviced lifestyle with the river at their back door.
